Membership rules typically restrict a person to one Club; however, A player may play Hurling with one Club and Football with another Club, within a County, subject to any restrictions provided in County Bye-Laws.

If you have completed an Inter County Transfer to Australasia, you can play League and Championship with your Club in Australasia, and be eligible to play Championship with your Home Club (subject to completing an Inter County Transfer) upon return.
If you have played State Championship in the same year with the State team e.g., representing New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria etc, you would not be eligible to return and play championship with your Home Club.
Rules Advisory Clarification: As per January 16th 2016, At the Central Council Meeting, Ard Chomhairle clarified to clarify that, for the purpose of Rule 6.7 (a), ‘Championship’ as it relates to Australia shall mean the State Championships as opposed to the competitions run within each state.

A player may not play in any Championship in a given year’s Championships in more than one County.

A player who is pursuing a full-time course of study in a Country under the jurisdiction of the European Board may play with a Club in the European Union country of study, or the nearest club to the player’s place of study, including a College Club if one exists, and with the player’s Own Club, provided the player is participating in a recognised programme of study of a minimum of 12 weeks duration, and the player obtains a Permit from the Central Council.
